TO CELEBRATE THE FERTILITY OF OUR
We serve high quality vegetarian meals that keep the traditional flavours of each season... presented in a spectacular vegetarian buffet that is also very appealing to non-vegetarians!
With dozens of favorites and new dishes being created every day by Luciano Cruz and his team, it is difficult to know what will be awaiting you today... but you can always count on vegetarian versions of such Portuguese flavours as caldeirada , feijoada de batata doce , filetes com arroz de tomate e pimentos, cozido, seitan à alentejana, maybe side by side with a good curry, a tempting tempura, burrittos, kebabs or a delicious tabouli… or, who knows, none of these and a variety of other flavors from the Earth — this planet where we all live!
Our Buffet is rich and inviting...
VEGAN?
Choosing your drink can take some time: natural juices, exotic cocktails, teas and infusions from all over the world, vegan wine, gourmet coffee, and even Brazilian caipirinha, Porto or whisky, almost everything organic, fill a menu with close to a hundred options!
Our salads look for inspiration on all continents to present you with a plethora of tastes and textures: although you’ll find regularly classics such as Greek Salad or Waldorf Salad, our cooks search for the freshest ingredients and use their own creativity to surprise you with new combinations, unexpected and delicious!
...a rainbow of colours and flavours!
In Portugal we have a saying that goes “Um dia não são dias…” (Doing it once doesn’t mean you’ll do it everyday...) so, to finish your meal allow yourself to be tempted by a delicious chocolate brownie or the delectable arroz doce conventual (you should really try our medieval recipe of this traditional Portuguese dessert of sweet rice with cinnamon) or maybe you prefer the sweet apple crumble, a classic tiramisu... or perhaps a light melon soup, an ice-cream or one of the occasional surprises prepared by the kitchen? Whichever your choices, you’ll enjoy a great meal!
And we top it all up with dozens of drinks and mouth-watering desserts...
We dedicate this site and all the work done in the restaurant Terra to the benefit of all sentient beings. That they may all be happy!

Most — about 80%! — of our dishes (desserts included) do not include any ingredient from animal origin.
So that we can offer a few traditional Portuguese dishes that require them, we do use occasionally a few eggs — guaranteed organic free-range — supplied to us by a certified producer that we know personally — and also some cheeses, yogurt and honey.
Nevertheless, in any given meal, most of the dishes in the Buffet are always vegan!
RELIGIOUS FOOD RESTRICTIONS AND FESTIVITIES
If you’re a Buddhist, Catholic, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Muslim, Protestant, Sikh, Taoist... tell us how we can help you observe your sacred days (here’s what we already know).
Since most of our food is vegan, it is usually OK with everyone but we’re happy to help with any other restriction you may have.
We are pleased to announce that we now have Kosher Wines (Mevushal and Non Mevushal, both Kosher for Passover), the first kosher wines to be produced in Portugal for 500 years.
These kosher wines are supervised by the Orthodox Union and OU P certified.
